European Union

The EU has been involved in development in Madagascar as a financial partner through projects/programmes since 1959. It is represented by the DUEM or Delegation of the European Union in Madagascar. The DINAAMICC project is funded by the EU under the DeSIRA initiative for a period of 4 years (2022-2025). It is therefore managed directly by the DUEM.

DINAAMICC is made up of a research unit and a development unit.Initially, the project was implemented by 11 players, of which CIRAD was themain promoter. The initial players: FOFIFA, IRD, APDRA, AGRISUD, AVSF, GSDM,FERT, FIFATA, CEFFEL and PARTAGE.

Principal applicant

CIRAD

The Center forInternational Cooperation in Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD) is aFrench research center founded in 1984. CIRAD conducts research in Madagascarto enhance Malagasy biodiversity, manage environmental services and promote anagroecological approach for sustainable agriculture. , particularly for familyfarms in the Highlands. As the main promoter of the Dinaamicc project, CIRADcoordinates activities in synergy with other research partners and developmentpartners.

FOFIFA

National Center for Applied Research in Rural Development (CENRADERU) or FOIBEM-PIRENENA MOMBA NY FIKAROHANA AMPIHARINA AMIN'NY FAMPANDROSOANA NY AMBANIVOHITRA (FOFIFA) is an agricultural research center, local to Madagascar, born in 1974. FOFOFAE3 will be involved in Dinaamicc through various research departments; Department of Rice Research (DRR), Department of Socio-Economy (DSE), Department of Forestry Research and Management of Natural Resources (DRFGRN), Department of Zootechnical, Veterinary and Piscicultural Research (DRZVP), and finally the Department of Technological Research and Nutritional (DRTN).

IRD

 Created in 1944, the Research Institute for Development (IRD) is a multidisciplinary French research organization. In Dinnamicc, the IRD will also be involved in research activities.

APDRA

Association of Fish Culture and Rural Development in Africa (APDRA); Pisciculture Paysanne, is a French association, created in 1996. APDRA will identify peasant innovations, improve them and disseminate them. Increasingly, faced with farmers' concerns about climate change, APDRA will develop an integrated agro-ecological approach. 

AGRISUD

Agrisud

Agrisud International is a French international solidarity organization created in 1992, for the sustainable development of family farming through an economic and agroecological approach. Agrisud will lead the implementation of activities aimed at building the capacities of municipal actors, with producers.

AVSF

Agronomists and Veterinarians Without Borders (AVSF), is a French international solidarity association, which has been working since 1977 to support peasant populations. AVSF will specifically deal with the characterization of farming systems and will intervene in the assessment of meteorological services.

GSDM

GSDM or Groupement Semis Direct de Madagascar, based in Madagascar, Professionals of Agroecology is a national structure with the status of association under Malagasy law, constituted in 2000. The GSDM will play its roles of research-development interface and technical capitalization -economic through measurements and analyzes of the effectiveness and impact of climate-smart agriculture techniques within crop/livestock systems, farms and territories.

FERT

Fert

Formation for the Fulfillment and Renewal of the Earth (FERT) is an international cooperation association created in 1981 (French association law 1901). It works to support farmers in their efforts to develop services and create organizations. In close synergy with CEFFEF and FIFATA, Fert will bring its experience in the professionalization of POs, agricultural advice, mobilization of expertise and support to its partners in the proper management of the actions implemented, above all.

FIFATA

Fifata

Fikambanana fampivoarana ny tantsaha (FIFATA) or association for the progress of peasants, is a Malagasy professional agricultural organization of national scope created in 1989. FIFATA brings together 12 regional peasant organizations. In close collaboration with FERT and CEFFEL, it will intervene in actions for the wide dissemination of good agricultural practices, but also for the structuring of POs and actions to represent the interests of producers with decision-makers, in particular on issues of climate change and climate change. agroecology.

CEFFEL

Ceffel

Conseil Experimentation Formation en Fruits et Légumes (CEFFEL), is a peasant organization created on the initiative of Fert and Fifata in 2006 (Malagasy association law 60-133). It specializes in the field of advice, experimentation and training in fruit and vegetables. Ceffel will lead diagnostic actions (in conjunction with Fert and CIRAD), experimentation and training at the service of producers, relay farmers and technicians, the purpose of which is to disseminate the most relevant practices.

ONG PARTAGE

Created in 2001, PARTAGE or Participation to the management of the environment is a non-governmental organization specialized in rural forestry, working as a co-applicant with CIRAD on the AFAFI-Centre DIABE project. It will pilot the establishment of plots for the diversification of forest plant material and the demonstration of silvicultural and agro-silvicultural practices.

METEO MADAGASCAR

Training on interpretation will be provided by the General Directorate of Meteorology (third party partners). There will also be assessments of meteorological services to come up with possible improvements by considering synergies with other stakeholders such as Prada Giz.

ONN

The National Nutrition Office (ONN) and its regional offices (ORN): playing a service provider role, they will be involved as CIRAD "service providers" to advise, facilitate and support activities aimed at analyzing the impact of the adoption agroecological practices on the diets of beneficiary households and to inform farmers about good nutritional practices.
